Of course they would. The various issues working with such young
contestants aside.

I think they looked at Todd and Erik (among others) and feel that the
younger contestants are fully capable of doing a good job. Erik may have
made one of the biggest boneheaded moves in Survivor history, but it was
damn entertaining to watch.
