It depends on whether someone looks at the situation as a "moral" issue or a
"legal" one. I don't know why anyone would consider it immoral for an
18-year-old to drink and if the local laws allow that, it also wouldn't be
illegal. That's the common sense side of things, though I'm sure there would
be some uptight people who would raise the sort of complaints you mention so
if anybody under age 21 consumed alcohol on the island, I doubt the editing
would show that.
